Hasta la Última Piedra - Until the Final Stone

Directed by Colombian filmmaker Juan José Lozano, Hasta la Última Piedra is a tribute to life and peaceful resistance in times of war. The documentary tells the story of the Peace Community of San José de Apartadó. Beset by armed groups, this peasant community categorically resists the pressure to engage with the violence. We are shown the courage of this handful of men and women, and their struggle to live and farm their land in peace.

“We won’t be exiles in our own country. The guerilla, the paramilitary and the soldiers will one day understand that we have nothing to do with this conflict. How many more dead farmers will it take for them to understand that the commitment possible for us is with life" (leader, Peace Community of San José de Apartadó)
