Mexico: PBI Facilitates links between indigenous human rights defender and EU embassies

On 29 June, 2010, PBI in Mexico facilitated a meeting between human rights lawyer Alba Cruz and the embassies of Britain, France, the Netherlands and Belgium, and the delegation of the European Union (EU) in Mexico.

Among the topics discussed during the meeting, the embassy representatives emphasized the importance that the EU considers that the role of civil society has in the promotion and defence of human rights.
